Photoshoot Outfit Guide

For EVE set, colors we highly recommend would be earthy/neutral tones, dark & light beige, dark blue, and brown tones. Colors we recommend to avoid includes neon colors, loud reds, pinks, purples, and light blues.

From selecting coordinated outfits to discussing poses and props, this guide will provide you with essential tips and suggestions to make the most of your family studio photoshoot session.

Remember, a family photoshoot is a collaborative effort, and for big family shoots, the photos will look better when you take time to organise everybody’s outfit.

TO HAVE A MORE HARMONIOUS OVERALL LOOK, HERE ARE SOME GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Avoid clothing with loud prints / geometric patterns/ obvious logos/ jerseys

  • Earth tones are always more fitting in our studio as opposed to neon shades of colors.

  • Avoid bright colours e.g. neon green, pink etc

  • Don’t neglect footwear - sneakers and casual dress shoes are recommended e.g. loafers. Don’t come in crocs, slippers, or worn out sneakers.

  • It is ok for a couple of people (e.g. main figures like grandpa/grandma or birthday boy/girl) to wear stand out colors

  • For the gentleman, we don’t recommend tight clothings especially if you have children as you would typically have to play a lot with your child/children.

  • We also generally don’t recommend blazers and outercoats as they tend to limit posing.

These color pairings will work for any of our sets across different seasons, which are designed to be a little more on the minimal end - to ensure that you, and your family are the attention of the picture we create.

For big family shoots, you may consider suggesting the biege and neutrals, or the blue and neutrals combinations as these 2 tend to be the easiest to coordinate.
